Privacy Policy

This is a draft template, not a substitute for legal advice. Before publishing, have this reviewed against India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, and update it to accurately reflect exactly which third-party services (analytics, AI providers, payment processors) you use in production.

1. What we collect

2. How we use it

To generate and update your Style DNA profile and recommendations
To process payments and manage subscriptions
To improve our AI models and ranking systems
To send you service-related notifications (you can opt out of marketing messages)

3. Photos and biometric-adjacent data

Photos you upload for Style DNA analysis (e.g. selfies used to assess undertone, face shape, or body shape) are treated as sensitive data. We use them solely to generate your profile and recommendations. You can delete uploaded photos at any time from your account settings; see our Account Deletion page for full data removal.

4. Third-party services

We use trusted third parties to operate Eleganize, which may process your data on our behalf, including:

Cloud infrastructure and authentication providers
AI/ML providers for image analysis and recommendation ranking
Payment processors for subscriptions and one-time purchases
Analytics and crash-reporting tools

These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to Eleganize.

5. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data and uploaded photos within the timeframe described on our Account Deletion page, except where retention is required by law.

Access, correct, or export your data
Withdraw consent for specific data uses
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority where applicable

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security review — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

8. Children's privacy

Eleganize is not intended for children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children below this age.

9. Changes to this policy

We'll notify you of material changes to this Privacy Policy through the app or by email.
